Die Firma wurde 1991 gegr\u00fcndet, um fortschrittliche Flugzeitmassenspektrometer (ToF) zu entwickeln und zu produzieren. Der Gr\u00fcnder &#8211; Dr. Thorald Bergmann &#8211; hat im Rahmen seiner Doktorarbeit ein weltrekordverd\u00e4chtiges ToF-Massenspektrometer gebaut und den bis dato schmalsten Massenpeak gemessen.<\/p>\n<p>In den ersten Jahren entwickelte die Bergmann Messger\u00e4te Entwicklung sowohl kleine Ger\u00e4te wie das Linear ToF, als auch High-End Forschungsger\u00e4te wie das ALBATROS Esi-ToF. Beide Arten von Instrumenten wurden unter Verwendung fortschrittlicher ionenoptischer Methoden entwickelt, um eine hohe Empfindlichkeit sowie eine hohe Massenaufl\u00f6sung zu erreichen, die sich der vom Liouville-Theorem vorgegebenen Phasenraumgrenze ann\u00e4hert.<\/p>\n<p>In den sp\u00e4ten 1990er Jahren wurde unsere Produktpalette um einen hochpr\u00e4zisen Delaygenerator erweitert, der zur Synchronisation verschiedener Ereignisse eines Experiments verwendet werden kann. Die Weiterentwicklung der Funktionalit\u00e4t des Delaygenerators macht ihn heute zum fortschrittlichsten und vielseitigsten Triggersystem auf dem Markt. Etwa zu dieser Zeit begann die Verwendung von Pockelszellen in der Laserphysik popul\u00e4r zu werden. Da es nur sehr wenige und nicht sehr zuverl\u00e4ssige Treiber auf dem Markt gab, wurden wir gebeten, Pockelszellen-Treiber zu bauen. Wochenlange Tests gew\u00e4hrleisten Standzeiten, die weit \u00fcber den Industriestandards liegen.
