High Voltage Stepfunction Generator

Our newly developed stepfunction generator can be used to either generate a sequence of different voltages or it can be used to generate a voltage pulse of arbitrary height.
Like our Pockels cell driver heads it comes in an EMC-shielded housing with integrated Pockels cell and a USB control interface.

The “Fifo-Pulse-Mode” is used to generate a single pulse of predefined height. The desired height is fed into the generator via USB interface. Inside of the generator is a 2048 entry deep Fifo, such that multiple values can be fed into the generator which then get executed one after another. It is also possible to feed in 11 bit values into the parallel data interface of the step function generator.
Each time a trigger event occurs, the nextt voltage value stored in teh Fifo will be applied to the output of the step function generator.

The “Voltage-Sequence-Mode” is programmed with our software. Here the user can define a sequence of up to 2048 individual voltage values and step lengths, forming an individual voltage sequence.
This sequence will be applied to the output of the step function generator upon a trigger event.
